Whelping box with addition of quilt cover which Pixie seemed to like

Lots of digging for the nest including sessions of towel ripping





Now for the whelping as contractions begin. First to arrive  a girl. Pixie becomes a mother instinctively licking + cleaning the pup before placed on the nipple receiving important colostrum within 24 hrs. of birth.

Pixie whelped her litter just under 6 hrs. hence looking very tired
